Dear ANCOR Members, this is an URGENT SOS Alert
We need you to take action immediately

The Senate version of the American Health Care Act (AHCA) is going from bad to worse, and will be taken up for a vote early NEXT WEEK.

THIS IS THE MOMENT TO TELL YOUR SENATOR TO SAY 'NO' TO THE AHCA. We've made it easy – click here! Please call this week, and keep calling.

Senate Republican leadership has sent a bill to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) for cost projections and the voting process will begin Tuesday of next week. We are not expecting to see bill text of the Senate version until the vote is close to happening, but we do know a few things from Hill offices and other intelligence sources:

  • The Senate version is WORSE than the House version for people with disabilities. In an attempt to negotiate between Senators that wanted a lower growth rate and those that wanted to maintain the House version, the growth rate of CPI-M+1% will only remain in place until 2025 then drop down to a CPI-U growth rate. This will devastate disability programs.
  • Medicaid reforms in AHCA are virtually irreversible policy decisions – once the federal funding is dialed down THIS much, states are unlikely to be able to recover if these policies are ever reversed in a future Congress.

Medicaid is on the table and the changes will fundamentally and will irreversibly damage our programs if we do not weigh in and educate our U.S. Senators on what's at risk!
